This study investigates the impact of the experimental project Historia Vivens 2.0 (Di- dActa), an initiative designed to rethink history pedagogy in secondary education through the synergistic integration of narrative, sensory stimuli, and digital tools. Drawing upon the theoretical frameworks of situated learning and embodied cognition, the research em- ploys a mixed-methods approach to evaluate how a synesthetic laboratory setting can fa- cilitate not only content acquisition but also serve as a catalyst for transversal skills (in alignment with the 2018 European Framework). The collected data reveal significant growth trends, most notably in critical thinking (+18.4%) and teamwork abilities (+16.2%). Concurrently, qualitative analyses—conducted through systematic observations and focus groups—confirm that the historical-biographical narrative functions as a power- ful mediator, capable of bridging the gap between disciplinary rigor and the students’ emo- tional engagement. Ultimately, the findings suggest that a pedagogical approach to history conceived as a “space of experience” fosters the development of more informed citizens, transforming abstract knowledge into a vital resource for interpreting the present.

Abstract
Ultimately, the findings suggest that a pedagogical approach to history conceived as a “space of experience” fosters the development of more informed citizens, transforming abstract knowledge into a vital resource for interpreting the present.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
