Since 2000 on Campo della Fiera at Orvieto (Velzna in Etruscan language and Volsinii in Latin language) annual excavations directed by Prof. Simonetta Stopponi of the University of Perugia are held (in collaboration with the Department of Cultural Heritage of University of Macerata) to explore the federal sanctuary of Etruscans, where the delegates of 12 Etruscans people were known to hold their reunions and that epigraphic and topographic evidences indicate to search at Orvieto.
