Starting from a systematic analysis of the literature on school management, this article analyzes the development trajectory of the Italian Higher Technical Institutes (ITS) educational pathway. The ITS system offers two-year post-secondary programs focused on high-level specialization to meet the needs of businesses and the labor market. The analysis is conducted in light of the reform of the so-called "4+2" model (D.M. n.28 del 21.2.2025). The article takes the ongoing experience at the I.S.I.S. "Duca degli Abruzzi" of Catania as a case study, specifically analyzing the functional leadership (Adair, 1973) promoted by the school's principal as a strategic factor for the development of the educational, business, and labor market pipeline. The study, which is observational in nature, evaluated several variables that appeared central to the innovation and development of the educational pipeline in the case examined. It found a significant association between the actions and skills introduced by the school leadership and their effects on the context, with the latter aspects being not yet extensively explored in the existing literature.
L’articolo assume come “caso studio” l’esperienza in corso presso l'I.S.I.S.

Abstract
It found a significant association between the actions and skills introduced by the school leadership and their effects on the context, with the latter aspects being not yet extensively explored in the existing literature.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
