The contribution presents the design process of the second phase of a pilot study started in July 2019 with the collaboration among the University of Macerata (Italy), the RobotiCSS Lab of University of Milan Bicocca (Italy) and the Cooperativa Bes – Onlus (Milan, Italy). The pilot used an integrated approach to support a child with ASD in generalizing, through a virtual world, social abilities learnt during the interventions developed in the first phase of the pilot by using the physical robot NAO. A discussion of the characteristics of the 3D virtual world chosen, edMondo, and a description of the instructional design process will be the focus of the contribution.
