This contribution traces the main stages of the China’s Go Global Policy, which encourages Chinese enterprises to invest overseas, focusing mainly on the main interventions carried out by the Chinese Government during the last two years. Relevant historical Series of Flows and Stocks are also presented, and analysed by country and by sector, aiming at understanding the historical and recent motivations related to the active internationalisation of China. The Paper, considering the role of the world economic crisis and the impact on the Chinese overseas operations, offers Pros&Cons prospect of this growing phenomenon.
