Abstract
E-learning is characterised by the incorporation of technology into student curricula. From a sociocultural perspective, the teaching/learning process is a cooperative one, and a recent area of interest has been that of how on-line forums can support teacher-student and student-student collaboration and the elaboration of learning materials. The first part of the article presents a review of the most recent positions on the topic; the second part expands on the first by presenting a study conducted by the authors on 20 on-line, BSCW platform forums. The analysis examines the characteristics of communicative interaction and the type of learning material elaboration that were implemented by members of groups in an academic, post-graduate learning context, providing support for some of the main assertions discussed in the first part of the article.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
