The paper aims to examine the inventory of the large donation of books, left by the card. Silvio Antoniano to the Congregation of the Oratory of Philip Neri. Thanks to the use of a rich archival and printed documentation, the A. analyzes the antonianea library to rebuild the conceptual arsenal of one of the most significant and representative figure of the cultural Roman post-Tridentine context, able to combine the lesson of old writers with the Christian religion in a perspective of a renewed Christian Humanism.
