This paper addresses the topic of museum education and heritage learning for preschool and primary school children through practices in which music fosters extra-musical skills and competences. The case study concerns a sound workshop held at the Museo Ittico of San Benedetto del Tronto, based on the application of concepts and methods drawn from the Theory of Audiotactile Music (TMA) combined with the use of new technologies, specifically AI-based tools. The article analyses the different operational phases of the workshop, carried out with children aged 3–5 and pupils aged 6–10. In the first phase, starting from a narrative plot created in video with AI—whose phonetic soundscape components were extracted and illustrated—the working group mimicked the sounds of various environments and characters through an interaction between video and group activity. Subsequently, during the museum visit, the children recognised the musealized objects represented in the video narration by reproducing their characteristic material-timbral qualities. The aim of identifying the museum units was achieved through an audiotactile synaesthetic somatization, fostering an interdisciplinary learning experience of the documentary heritage.

Abstract
The aim of identifying the museum units was achieved through an audiotactile synaesthetic somatization, fostering an interdisciplinary learning experience of the documentary heritage.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
