At the beginning of the Metal Age the evidence is scanty indeed : at present just 4 objects appear to be earlier than the Middle Bronze Age. From the MBA onwards there are more gold finds, in part from funerary contexts, property or funerary gifts pertaining to individuals of both sexes who attained a high status within the community
