In an era of increasing digitalisation and media influence, museums are developing innovative communication strategies to engage young audiences and foster active encounters with history. This paper explores the educational potential of interactive graphic novels created by museums and foundations and discusses their integration into teaching German as a foreign language. First, it outlines key features of contemporary graphic novels within museum communication. It then illustrates how these formats can be used to promote linguistic, cultural, and media competences in the classroom. Particular attention is paid to the interplay of authentic storytelling, visual stimuli, and interactive elements, which not only enhance learners’ motivation but also support sustainable learning processes. The paper concludes with reflections and an outlook on future research, including the role of social media in museum contexts, the expansion of exhibition spaces into digital environments, and the integration of digital cultural resources into language education.

Abstract
The paper concludes with reflections and an outlook on future research, including the role of social media in museum contexts, the expansion of exhibition spaces into digital environments, and the integration of digital cultural resources into language education.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
