The aim of these pages is to intercept the relationship between deconstruction and metaphysics as the very figure of the impossible and therefore beyond all power. This means recognising that what remains of metaphysics is not only implicated in the immanence of the world, but also has a concreteness that can no longer be said except in political terms. Democracy would be the closest metaphysical experience to this deconstruction of power, whereby the power that remains is as concrete as it is inappropriate.
