This contribution examines the evolution of the concept of monstrosity, exploring the various ways in which the relationship between monsters and the spaces they inhabit is realized. In Antiquity, monsters—understood as beings with malformed and non-conforming bodies—were excluded from the community and relegated to the margins. In the contemporary world, however, they emerge from obscurity to become protagonists of new symbolic spaces, inhabiting the network and the continuous flow of information. In the infosphere, where the physical body is replaced by digital representation, physical limitations appear to vanish, yielding to the logic of algorithms and information. This shift raises new questions about the emancipatory potential of monsters and their relationship with control and standardization.

Abstract
This shift raises new questions about the emancipatory potential of monsters and their relationship with control and standardization.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
