Rethinking Culture and Creativity: The Challenge of Sustainability. An Introduction

This article introduces the journal section related to the third edition of the workshop “Rethinking Culture and Creativity”, held at the “Cognetti de Martiis” Department of Economics and Statistics of the University of Turin on 19 and 20 October 2023. The workshop was first promoted by Luciana Lazzeretti at the University of Florence in 2020. This edition was also an opportunity to commemorate Walter Santagata, his seminal work in the field of the economics of culture, and the legacy he left to the academic and professional domains.

Questo articolo introduce la sezione relativa alla terza edizione del workshop “Rethinking Culture and Creativity”, tenutosi presso il Dipartimento di Economia e Statistica “Cognetti de Martiis” dell’Università di Torino il 19 e 20 ottobre 2023. Il workshop, promosso per la prima volta da Luciana Lazzeretti presso l’Università di Firenze, in questa edizione ha rappresentato anche l’occasione per celebrare la memoria di Walter Santagata, i suoi lavori seminali nel campo dell’economia della cultura e l’eredità per gli ambiti accademici e professionali da lui lasciati.
