The aim of the project is to explore the restorative capacity of narratives in contexts of personal, social, and community fragility, and to identify the criteria to allow the discernment and modelling of the characteristics that generate a “restorative” narrative, whose impact enhances the well-being of individuals and communities and strengthens social ties, “mending” personal and relational fabrics that are socially acceptable and democratically sustainable. Not every form of narrative has a “restorative” intent: some are exclusionary or generate stereotypes. Therefore, it is urgent to clarify the underlying values of narrative constructs through an interdisciplinary approach.

Abstract
The aim of the project is to explore the restorative capacity of narratives in contexts of personal, social, and community fragility, and to identify the criteria to allow the discernment and modelling of the characteristics that generate a “restorative” narrative, whose impact enhances the well-being of individuals and communities and strengthens social ties, “mending” personal and relational fabrics that are socially acceptable and democratically sustainable. Not every form of narrative has a “restorative” intent: some are exclusionary or generate stereotypes. Therefore, it is urgent to clarify the underlying values of narrative constructs through an interdisciplinary approach.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
