Fra azione e contemplazione. Il "tra" come luogo della mediazione

Artistic experience is trace of an “in-between” that extends in the direction of the relationship with oneself, with others, and with forms of transcendence; art thus refers back to an ethical and anthropological dimension, revealing of the human the need to mediate its own immediacy and to make memory of the ways in which the tension between impulse and contemplation has become dictable. A cross between activity and passivity, freedom and necessity, the “in-between” that art exhibits is an inappropriable and irreducibly common place.
