This project aims at improving efficacy in language and literacy tuition of LESLLA learners. LESLLA is an acronym for Literacy Education and Second Language Learning for Adults, and it refers to the second language and literacy learning of adult migrants who have had, previous to migration, no or very limited access to education. The project focuses on second language learners with little or no educational experience previous to migration. We focus on serving a group of learners whose human right to education have been violated in their past. This groups is often ignored in research and poorly supported in language policy. The main aim of the project is to develop insights in the language learning strategies that support LESLLA learners, through an iterative process of co-construction. We will improve their L2 learning by co-constructing language learning strategies that work for them.
