This essay illustrates the life and works of Vincenzo Cento, a professor from Marche region who was involved in various educational initiatives. In particular, thecontribution focuses on the birth of Educational Popular Circles in the Marche region and then presents the Accademia Libera di Cultura e d’Arte, founded in Milan. The essay is focused also on Cento’s relationship with anti-fascism and on his commitment to the local Liberation Committee of Pollenza and the provincial of Macerata. Finally, are presented the numerous obituaries and forms of public memory that recall him.
