Andrea da Barberino’s Guerrin Meschino met with extraordinary success in the Veneto area. The purpose of the article is to reconstruct its circulation and the transformations to which the rhetorical and narrative structure of the Florentine vulgate was subjected in the process of adaptation to a new audience and a new geographical space. The Venetian redaction received in incunabula and prints also turns out to be central to the transmission of the work beyond the Italic borders. In the first section we will deal with the textual tradition of the Veneto witnesses, in the second we will focus on narratological and rhetorical-communicative changes. The last paragraph is devoted to the Spanish and French translations dependent on Venetian prints.

Abstract
The last paragraph is devoted to the Spanish and French translations dependent on Venetian prints.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
