The aesthetics of the landscape, in the connotation attributed by Rosario Assunto, may be considered as one of the matrixes of an ecological ethics integrating human and non-human living beings. The world is not something that belongs to us; it is we who belong to the world. Hence the need for profound ecological ethics which must be promoted from the earliest years of education.
