D’ailleurs – Le Paradoxe de La Vérité

D’ailleurs – the Paradox of Truth · Paradox has long been at the core of Jean-Luc Mar- ion’s work. From Étant donné to Certitudes négatives and now D’ailleurs la révélation, this ‘motif ’ is at the heart of phenomenality and saturated phenomena. However, D’ailleurs la révélation allows us to return to a question that, already announced in Le visible et le révélé, explains and develops, namely the ‘paradox of truth’. In this paper we wish to question the meaning of truth and para- dox that Revelation, as Marion proposes to understand it, allows us to develop. To do so, we will start from the opposite hypothesis, that is the one that philosophy of analytical inspiration has proposed, willing to save truth from paradox, then we will analyse another paradox which, so to speak, imposes itself ‘starting from itself ’, that is the paradox of the infinite, to finally arrive at the ‘new’ paradox of truth that gives itself d’ailleurs.
