The storytelling represents a pedagogical device of undeniable potential in promoting paths of emancipation and self‐determination of people with disabilities. It can draw on a wealth of functional languages for educational and social in‐clusion. The excursus through the progressive interest of art and photography towards the gender‐disability issue, willoffer elements for reflection to understand how the pictures can weave intersectional storytelling capable of enhancingthe plurality of beauty and female identities. The article intends to deepen the representation of women with disabilitiesthrough photography, as a tool for cultural awareness and at the same time a path to emancipate women and transformgender stereotypes. In particular, the photographic project "I'm a woman no more and no less ”which embodies an in‐tersectional and innovative look at the issue, will be analyzed. Finally, future perspectives and possible approaches towardswhich to project the photographic narration of women with disabilities will be outlined.
