Economia, diritto e agricoltura: vecchie e nuove prospettive di ricerca su Ghino Valenti

In the literature accumulated after his death, some substantial contributions to Ghino Valenti’s scientific bibliography are still missing. In this paper we attempt to restart a path aimed at stimulating new and broader research on this scholar. The timing of the resumption of studies on Valenti is linked to the hundred years that have passed since his death, which took place in Rome on November 20, 1920. A significant source for Valenti’s thought is the articulated and complex legacy of Romagonosi, his knowledge both unifying and practical. Valenti draws his aptitude for economic and social research, and the close connection of economics with law, from that influence. The impact is, above all, on the economics of agriculture, the economic-agricultural policy and the general policy.
