Digital technologies are changing the world we live in at an unprecedented rate. In the EU and around the world, a number of challenges are arising as a result of the digital revolution. One of them is the issue of trust. The EU-funded TRUST project will investigate the role of trust in the development and application of digital technologies in Europe as well as the impact of digital transformation on shaping a trustworthy European environment whereby its citizens are empowered to act, interact and boost economic growth, from a multidisciplinary perspective. The project’s work will focus on blockchain technology, often known as a trust-building machine.
