Abstract

We are used to refer to neoliberalism as the age when economic rationality triumphs. Quite the contrary, the thesis of this contribution is that the deep force of neoliberalism lies in its utopian core. Such a thesis is pointed out through the analysis of Michel Foucault works. Even the current transformations of the meaning of job find in this way a moral legitimation, not only a rational one, due to the appeal and the force of this utopian core.
