After a brief introduction on the new meaning of the city in the current context marked by significant constitutional transformations (which, nevertheless, shows renewed attention to the proximity human contexts), this paper focused on the peculiarities of the city of Taranto, close in the grip of the ILVA issue, also analyzing the recent Puglia Law n. 2/2018 that tries to offer the city a different perspective.
