The article aims to give an account of the attention paid in Italy towards Poland in early nineteenth century. The paper goes through articles on Polish history and society which were published by the «Antologia», one of the most important journals of that period of time. In the background, the essay also focuses on the bourgeois conception of the relationship between culture, business and policy that played a central role in the cultural history of that age.
