The article examines the history of surveys on town’s statutes of Marche between the XIX and the XX Century. Before the constitution of Deputazione di Storia patria per le Marche in 1890, same scholars, like Gaetano De Minicis, a lawyer native of Fermo, and Carisio Ciavarini, a teacher from the region of Montefeltro, put effort into publication of statutory texts. However, in the Marche there was no university tradition in legal history, comparable to other important city of central Italy, like Siena or Perugia. The situation changed at the end of the XIX Century, thanks to the presence of Lodovico Zdekauer at the University of Macerata. Zdekauer, native of Bohemia, trained by German historiography’s method, hereafter active in Toscana, when he moved in the Marche, he managed to start a new deal of study in statutes and became also the President of Deputazione di Storia patria. In 1905 Zdekauer curated a section “Archives Exibition”, as part of the “ Marche Regional exhibition”, held in Macerata in 1905: here they were exposed many statutory texts for valuing a still largely unknown heritage, dispersed in municipal historical archives of Marche.

Abstract
In 1905 Zdekauer curated a section “Archives Exibition”, as part of the “ Marche Regional exhibition”, held in Macerata in 1905: here they were exposed many statutory texts for valuing a still largely unknown heritage, dispersed in municipal historical archives of Marche.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
