Children’s literature as a “source” for the history of cultural and educational processes

The work proposes firstly to focus attention on progress made during the last fifteen years, in Italy, in historical research on children's literature, by highlighting the significant methodological and historiographical renewal that has taken place in this area of study and, in particular, the increasingly close connection established between the history of education and educational institutions and the history of children's and young people's literature.
