In a very globalized context the power of territorial relationships seems to have lost relevance. A conspicuous part of literature state that firms should be oriented to global collaboration instead of districts relationships or local industrialization. The aim of this paper is to find the firms collaborations that should support internationalization. Besides, the research will try to discover what kind of interfirm networks are more useful for the panel company, and if these networks are localized in the district, national, european or global area. The research will focus on some companies belonging to the mechanical district placed in the area of Ancona. The firms were individually interviewed and the results were used to realized a case study for every firm.
