The living conditions of women with disabilities are often marked by multiple form of discriminations and different kind of social exclusion that causes socioeconomic and cultural disadvantages including lower sexual health outcomes and major difficulties in accessing gynecological and maternal-child healthcare system. In light of these considerations, a doctoral research project has been designed to explore the emancipation and self-determination paths that women with disabilities may experience in relation to their right to motherhood (UN, 2006). The research methodology is based on Mixed Methods Approach and in its initial phase has included a Scoping literature Review in order to develop a comprehensive state of the art. In this work the main international and national findings related to the lack of accessible and adequate pedagogical and educational services or programme will be reported. Within the specific contest of the Marche region, the research aims to develop a better inclusive culture that could promotes a new synergy among the different services on territory and supports the motherhood journey of future mother with disabilities.
