The paper focuses on the preliminary observations derived from the study of wall inscriptions found in house IIIM in the Hellenistic-Roman quarter of Agrigento. The inscribed plaster fragments come probably from the upper floor of the house and they are datable from the mid-2nd century B.C. to the mid-2nd century A.D. The graffiti document the use of Latin among the frequenters of the house, related to the ruling class from Rome.
