This paper explores expatriates’ and host-country nationals (HCNs) subjective well-being in multinational enterprises (MNEs) by using positive psychology as a perspective to explain procedural justice models. It emphasizes the individual level as a funding block for group-centred models. It illustrates the six Logical Levels of Change framework, based on procedural justice, as a managerial tool addressed to expatriates and HCNs. This contribution posits the role of expatriates and HCNs within MNEs: fair treatment promotes perceptions of fairness/justice, adds to subjective well-being, and plays a key role (productivity and satisfaction) for the benefit of the group and, consequently, the whole organization. Therefore, organizations are more likely to sustain expatriates’ and HCNs’ health and motivation (non-economic advantages), productivity and availability of workforce, decrease health insurance, and increase turnover (economic advantages). The main managerial recommendation is that managers should implement positive psychology practices of procedural justice through the six Logical Levels of Change.
