The discovery of documents relating to the bolognese Notaries’ guild allows us to shed light on the 15th-century events of its palace. It will be possible to introduce new elements about the articulation of its interiors and the decorations it was provided with, conditioned by the needs of the dominators of Bologna. Some considerations will concern the ornamentation of the chapel notaries owned in San Petronio. Social and representation questions relating to the guild will be also addressed.

Abstract
