This abstract examines the reimagining of Carlo Collodi's The Adventures of Pinocchio in the context of contemporary advancements in AI. It proposes a novel interpretation where Geppetto represents the human author and Pinocchio symbolizes the product of AI, like ChatGPT. This interpretation draws parallels between the classic tale and the present-day dynamics of AI creation: a reflection to analyze Pinocchio’s transformation from a wooden puppet to a real boy that mirrors the contemporary journey of AI from a mere set of algorithms to “entities” exhibiting behaviors akin to human intelligence.
