This paper deals with a special category of Greek personal names, i.e. those whose etymology refers to textile production. This overview highlights that only some phases of work and raw materials produced names and that certain names were peculiar of specific regions well renowned for animal breeding, such as Crete and Thessaly, and textile production as Asia Minor.
