The international BETWIXT Series publishes scientific studies devoted to outstanding research in Linguistics, Communication and Translation Studies: from Critical Discourse and Genre Analysis – including the study of multimodal representations – to the investigation of (non-literary) translation practices, and the wide field of sociolinguistics. The Series welcomes original contributions which, focusing on the study of discourse, pay particular attention to the link between social actors and relations of power. Topics may range(but not exclusively) from public and institutional discourses, to the linguistic, discursive and semiotic practices of media representation. BETWIXT offers linguistic and cultural insights to both specialists and students working within the field of linguistics and foreign languages.
