Archaeological Heritage Education from Educational Innovation to the Empowerment of Communities of Inner Areas: Sant’Angelo in Vado (PU). Intervento in ISC 2022 International Student Competition on Innovation and Branding in the Rural Areas - Fermo (FM), 16-21 maggio 2022

This lecture illustrated a heritage-based education project focused on the archaeological heritage of Sant’Angelo in Vado, a municipality located in one of the inner areas of the Central Appennine Mountains, and specifically in the upper valley of the Metauro river. We illustrated how this project was born within a complex framework of actions of valorisation of the strong cultural asset represented by the archaeological evidence of this territory, and in direction of the local community empowerment, thanks to an increasing cooperation between the local authorities, the schools of the area and the University of Macerata.
