The main goal of TRANSICOM is to facilitate the creation of a more inclusive society through the use of the public communication policies and the new tools offered by ICT. The general objective of TRANSICOM is to design a set of guidelines and educommunicational digital resources to guide the planning and implementation of public communication plans in the European Union NUTS-2 of Italy and Spain that are emigration recipients, to promote the positive and efficient inclusion of migrants in host communities, also fostering previous positive connections between migrants and the host population. The contents of these materials will be prepared through the results of the joint and comparative analysis of three elements: the representation of the identities of migrants in public policies and services, the media, education, etc.; the concept of immigrant identities taking into account the contexts of the countries of origin; and the expectations, preconceived ideas and information of migrants before their mobility. The purpose of TRANSICOM is to design communication programms and educommunicational resources (podcasts and microvideos, and transferMOOCs) for social transformation on the subject related to the recovery and promotion of multicultural values, worldwide. The final products can be taken by both, the migrants and the citizens of the countries of destination, in order to prepare for the reception of cultural features, by means of the settlement of different values, and to shape a map of identity values and respect for diversity. The communication products and services from which they are launched to the world are generators of communities that exchange opinions and create links. Therefore, it is intended that the digital communities are the first link in a way to establish contact and personal relationships between migrants and European reception societies, facilitating the creation of a network of contacts outside their communities, favouring inclusion.
