The book of Wang Li, Music and Culture of the Mongols of the People's Republic of China. The Barga Ethnic Group, Roma, Aracne (2021) presents an extensive ethnomusicological application of the methodological framework and theoretical devices of the Theory of Audiotactile Music. In this Preface, some relevant epistemological issues about this theory are synthesized and discussed, as the specific conception of performance and sound recording and the processes of cultural transformation, compared to other research approaches.
