The emergency situation caused by COVID-19 forced the EU also to face an unprecedented communication challenge to deal with the pandemic and monitor the impact on the EU values and rights of emergency measures adopted at a national level. The chapter aims at thinking in a critical approach of the role played by the EU to promote reliable and coordinated information in all EU Member states. At the same time, it aims at countering disinformation and misinformation by strengthening the cooperation with other EU and international partners.
