The project intends to explore how school buildings, that were often built decades ago and sometimes had other original purposes (e.g. a cloister, a hospitals, institutes, farms, nobility mansions etc.), can be used as efficient and interesting educational sites for schools. The objective is to analyze how to preserve the balance between the historic and cultural value of school sites and heritage and the needs of innovative, sustainable, and ICT-driven education, in order to create a powerful heritage context in a modern learning environment. With this aim, a cooperative think tank will be set up with stakeholders from several fields to discuss options and best practices.
