A bio-political approach to work and its metamorphosis is not only pedagogically deleterious but also counter-productive. On the contrary, a pedagogical approach returns authentic centrality to men and women at work and to their educational growth, and prepares the future of the work itself. Therefore, at first the contribution focuses on the critical analysis of the bio-political perspective and its vulnerability area, and then dwells on the pedagogical contrast to the “economic truth” promoted by the bio-political framework and on the delineation of a pedagogical representation of work centred on the agency of the people.
