Audiovisual texts, in their original and translated versions, are created for multifarious audiences. There are often extremely difficult to define, due to their varying size and composition, as well as to their intrinsic dynamism. The complexity of such audiences, however, does not justify the widespread lack of attention from the research community, especially within the field of audiovisual translation. To date, no thematic volume has offered a comprehensive study of reception in audiovisual translation, in theoretical, methodological and/or empirical terms. This volume wishes to fill this void by providing a thorough overview of the many opportunities offered to the audiovisual translation researcher and practitioner when reception is brought into the picture. Organized in four sections, the volume focuses on methodology and research from a diachronic as well as synchronic perspective. It aims to discuss all research methods and tools which have been, are being, and might be used for the enhancement of reception studies in audiovisual translation.

Abstract
It aims to discuss all research methods and tools which have been, are being, and might be used for the enhancement of reception studies in audiovisual translation.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
