Abstract

The goals of HEART project are: • to allow the formation of a team of new researchers (6 in total), with a completely new profile, based on a strong interdisciplinary attitude, integrating Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities (SSH) perspective, technical skills, creativity and entrepreneurial allure. 4 engineers, 1 legal expert and 1 international business expert will work together and in integrated way. They will acquire strong teamwork capabilities and ability to cooperate in the EU-China framework for business. An ambitious doctoral training is foreseen, combining academic excellence with strong international business attitude, inspired to innovation-oriented mind-set. The whole program of research and training is inspired by EU-ERA principles and leverages on strong international, interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral mobility program, in Europe and in China; • to release an health integrated activity recognition platform able to detect activities from heterogeneous data, using scalable algorithms, while safeguarding the privacy of the persons. A strategic priority for the Non Academic beneficiary’s competitiveness is to deliver wearable technology for health monitoring, primary dedicated to healthy people (of +40 age), which comply with legal issues and requirements and are successfully brought to the Chinese market; • to address the growing need of EU firms, for new profiles of young researchers having the necessary skills (technical, legal and economic) in the Internet of Thing domain, thus increasing their international competitiveness.
