The proposed European Research Project has as its fundamental objective to help meet the European's Agenda on migration's matter. Specifically, in relation to measures for the protection of migrant children in Annex 6, the Project consists of designing and developing the training of Judges and Central Authorities about recognition of judicial decisions on the protection of migrant children in order to the European authorities are in a better position to deal with the situation of minors who are forcibly abandoned or separated from their parents, who are arriving at the borders of the Union from their countries of origin that are at war. Minors who, in addition to being alone, may have been victims of deception and human trafficking. The rules that we have in the European Union on this subject on the recognition of judgments in the field of protection of minors are the Brussels II-bis Regulation, applicable in all countries of the Union except Denmark, and the Hague Convention of 19 October 1996, applicable in 45 States. In this sense, the project proposes the elaboration of a Book on the legal regime of the international protection of the child in Europe so that the judges and European authorities know the norms applicable to the protection of the children and, thus, are able to act of form more efficient and faster in relation to these cases. In addition, it also provides for the possibility of offering training courses to local authorities. In particular, the Carlos III University of Madrid (Spain), which coordinates the Project, will provide training courses for judges and other national authorities responsible for child protection, and the Universities of Macerata (Italy) and Lisbon (Portugal) will do the same, for the Italian and Portugueses authorities, in the form of seminars.
