Technology is not just a tool, but an extension of human nature. We are in the web, because the web is an extension of our senses and of our mind. Furthermore, the web can be seen as an expansion of our capabilities in the direction of collective intelligence. Also, the human beings have to remain at the centre, with their autonomy and their critical skills. So our being in the web has to be educated. In this paper, composed of two parts, the authors highlight the opportunities the web offers us from an educational point of view. Since this contribution is part of the European project SIT (Stimulators and Inhibitors of Culture of Trust in Educational Interactions Assisted by Modern Information and Communication Technology), our analysis will focus on the object of the project: the issue of trust. First of all, the network is made up of agents, that is to say, of persons; they should be aware of their own identity and their own points of view, in order to stay in an ocean of contents and interactions. In fact the network requires more critical competence. Secondly, the network is not the reality. As the subject is related to reality not only through the categories and abstractions coded at a linguistic level, we have to develop a critical skill in network, by paying attention to the difference between representational dimension and pre-representational dimension, that is to say between map and territory.

Abstract
As the subject is related to reality not only through the categories and abstractions coded at a linguistic level, we have to develop a critical skill in network, by paying attention to the difference between representational dimension and pre-representational dimension, that is to say between map and territory.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
