Shapes and languages for the handover of memory to new generations (SHALHOM)

SHALHOM project intends to contribute to a better understanding of the citizens of the European Union, its history and its diversity. The manifold goal of the project is, on the one hand, bringing to light - through a large series of concrete examples - the main lines in which the collective memory was and still is partially transmitted through the memorials and monuments of war, in view of the reconstruction of a “texture of memory”, on the other hand - as a challenge to Europe's future and as a possible answer to the partial or total lack of communication of these artifacts, especially in the younger generations - bringing forward and proposing some concrete actions able to shape the modern interpretation of these memories, through the updating of language and communication of such artifacts, and make them accessible to the new generations of young Europeans, in view of the construction of a collective European memory.
