In recent years the relationship between urban transformation and the development of tourism are in constant evolution, marked by processes of global and local decisions original approval, as the case of Paris Plage, challenges and contradictions between economic, socio-cultural and environmental. Paris-Plage is a summer event conceived and organized by the municipality of Paris since 2002. Every year, during the period between July and August, for about 4-5 weeks, over a range of about 3 km, the banks of the Seine and the square of the Hôtel de Ville, are used for sports and leisure, becoming beaches sand and grass, lining the river route is changed temporarily in a bathhouse. A beach in effect in the heart of Paris. Through this study, we try to highlight this new form of recreation offered by the transalpine capital which has recently been emulated by other European capitals such as Berlin, Budapest and Brussels, which allows the use of alternative urban spaces transformed into places of leisure, recreation and tourist attraction.
