VOICE project tackles relevant issues: thanks to its main aim (the building of a Eu Story directly told by citizens), to the specific topics identified as “daily shared” by Citizens (selected according to the priorities of Lisbon 2020 strategy, to the ones of the Programme itself and to the ones of the Eu Year of Citizens) and thanks to the activities proposed and the methodology to run them. Through granting a platform for reflection and debate and gathering together people from different countries, it contributes to constructing a tighter-knit Europe, while contributing to intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding. Through building a common story told by citizens, starting from their daily life, it promotes the development of the sense of EU identity, while fostering their sense of ownership to the EU community. By raising awareness on citizens’ role in the EU and, vice versa, on EU’s role in everyday life, VOICE fosters action, debate and reflection on Eu citizenship and democracy and encourages interaction among citizens and CSO.
