The proposed project, "Latin American integration between the 20th and the 21th century", aims to study Latin American integration from a historical political, social, cultural and economic point of view through a dialectical confrontation with the experience of the European Union. Seventy percent of this project will be developed in the research unit of the “Latin America Advanced Studies Institute” (IHEAL), of the University of Paris III – Sorbonne Nouvelle, France, the most important research field of which is Latin-American integration. The reminder of my time will be spent at the Department of History of the Federal Fluminense University (UFF) of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
